I did a quick test recording, and the final output video only appears to lag in the first 30 seconds of starting the game. Should i do anything about my settings?

you are just local recording, change your x264 preset to superfast and use a customer buffer of 0.

turn off CBR (constant bitrate) and change the quality balance to 8
