Question / Help Minecraft - Mouse freaking out.

Hello.

At first, I'm not the best to english.. *Warning to haters*

I download OBS today (21-05) and it's working fine, but I have a "bug". My mouse getting really sensitive. It spinning like 720 grades around, when i move my mouse a little bit, The bug only coming when i record with OBS.

Does someone have any answers to this?

Are you using window capture or game capture?

I find high CPU loads will play havok with input lag in Minecraft, but I usually find the mouse is less responsive and spotty when streaming than more sensitive.

Recording is probably even more intensive because you're saving large amounts of data to disk AFTER encoding it which will chomp on your CPU.

@Sapiens No it's not, writing to disk will require SOME CPU power. Depends how OBS is coded as to how much that is, and the format being saved as (I think OBS packs as mp4 which is somewhat simple). Of course if you save giant lossless 720p/1080p videos that go up to terabytes in size then it incurs a much higher overhead.

Stack a multi-core/threaded encoder and CPU-heavy game like Minecraft/GTAV/etc in the mix and sometimes you can run into problems.

@Pyrii In this context the performance hit of writing the data to a hard drive vs sending it out vs doing both simultaneously will be negligible unless you use settings so terrible that you hit an I/O bottleneck. This isn't Dxtory or Fraps, nobody should be hitting an I/O bottleneck. Performance differences between MP4 and FLV container formats will also be negligible. Given that we aren't dealing with OBS-MP's FFmpeg custom output, lossless recording isn't even an option, nor is streaming and recording with separate encoder processes, we can throw both of those possibilities out.

Which leaves us needing to see the OP's log file.

I encounter the same problem with my mouse and minecraft. I am streaming on OBS Studio, To stream Minecraft I use game capture. Can someone please help me in this situation and explain clearly what i need to do, because to be honest i don't really know much about Tech talk. So if you could tell me step by step on OBS that'll be great!
