Hey guys, I can't manage to get my stream to a good quality with a minecraft - other fast paced games. The issue is the pixelation and quality, it doesnt seem to get to full HD and no pixelation.

Specs:
  • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4820K CPU @ 3.70GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
  • RAM: 16GB (4 X 4GB) Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
  • HardDrive: 3TB 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s
Internet Speed:
http://prntscr.com/30kvf4
Upload is usually 11.5+, but I had 2 livestreams open when I did it.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

The video you posted is of a 1080p45 video at 2000kbps, which understandably has a lot of pixelation, since that is not nearly enough bit rate for a 1080p45 stream. However, 3500kbps for 1080p30 should be alright. Do you have an example of what it looks like with those settings?

That looks a lot closer to expected quality. The only other thing I would say is to limit your frame rate to 30fps if streaming at 1080p. Not only will it improve your picture quality due to fewer frames to spread out your bit rate, but it will be easier for viewers to watch, since Flash does a really poor job decoding 1080p videos that are over 30fps...a lot of computers can't even handle watching it at all.

Also, on top of the resolution/fps issue requiring more data that you have available for bitrate, I would recommend adding "tune=animation" (without quotes) to custom x264 encoder settings in advanced, and seeing if that helps improve the image at all for minecraft specifically. Note however that specific setting should only be used with minecraft.

Things as clear and smooth as that... I can run it, but I just don't know the right settings

That video is 720p60 at 2200kbps. I'm not sure what x264 preset he is using, and it could be something like slow or medium if he's using a 2-PC streaming setup.

cynicalc is using the x264 preset Fast; 720p59.94, 2200kbps bitrate, 2300kbps buffer, 128kbps aac, and using xsplit 2.0. I still don't understand why people can't ever be happy with their own stream settings. Copying someones stream setting then say, but theirs still looks better. Streaming won't ever look perfect. Content is all that matters anyway, assuming you have a good enough looking stream which most people do.

Yes, but streamers have a bad habit of believing their own stream looks worse than someone else's stream, even when using the same settings, and everyone else thinks the streams looks the same.
