Question / Help Minecraft crashes upon stream start/preview

Using the game capture in OBS, the moment i begin the preview, minecraft (modded or unmodded) just straight up closes.
This is an annoyance as i would like to stream minecraft.
I would use the window capture thing, but dont have two screens so a lot of other stuff would end up in the stream.
Here is an error file (attatched) from minecraft.

If the game crashes when using game capture, that means another hook program is interfering usually. Are you running any mods, graphics utilities, other capture programs on your system, or using any graphics overlay programs?

The only other programs are Fraps, which is not recording at the time.
Though, this problem has magically fixed itself. i had a mess with the scaling settings of the game capture and it fixed it randomly. Though i had tried these before to no avail.
I'll let you know if there are any more problems.

Fraps often still hooks to the game, it just has to be running in the tray. So definitely, if you run into problems, try closing it :)

personally I use dxtory in games that do not offer one. and had no problem. although its of course a hook as well and you have to add obs to its ignore list.
