Question / Help Microphone stutter

Hi,

I've been fighting with this issue for some time already and I basically run out of ideas.
My problem as the title states is the microphone stutter that occurs during the stream.
In-game audio seems to be unaffected and only voice input is.

Here's a VOD showing the issue: http://www.twitch.tv/k_chester_o/b/678268396
At around 18 minutes into the VOD the issue occurs but there might be an early occurence.
Here's my log: http://pastebin.com/pcbqn6Ag

I hope that you will be able to provide me with a fix.
Thanks in advance.

Increase scene buffering to 700ms.

Consider another USB port for your headset; try and keep it away from where you plug in your webcam.

Check the audio format of your mic, this will typically be either 44100Hz or 48000Hz in Windows recording devices under the advanced tab. Set OBS to match the format to either 44.1kHz or 80kHz.

Microphone stutter seems to be gone but now the game audio is out of sync, delayed compared to the actual gameplay.

Audio setting is at 44.1 kHz in both Windows and OBS
There is a setting for global audio offset that can be adjusted, but first set your mic offset back to 0 and find exaclty what is offset. Use a local recording to get an exactl idea of how much the offset needs to be for each. I think you get the idea of how it works.

audio behind video, - offset
audio ahead of video + offset.

Also note that you have a huge buffer time on your webcam.

I have adjusted the global audio offset to its minimum allowed -700, set mic offset to 0 and synced with camera at 1100.
Yet still I need an extra second of delay more or less which would make it a -1700 global which OBS doesn't allow.
Any suggestions?

If your off by that much, something else is wrong. restart PC and make a new scene with just a game.

OC is stable, no issues since it was set about year ago.
I turned of SLI completely and issue disappeared and also now I do not require any offsets on either webcam/microphone/global audio.
Guess I'll have to wait for a rewrite to utilise SLI.
Thanks for all the help.

Hey, I think I'm having the same problem as you. Is SLI something I would have on by simply having OBS? If so, how would i go about turning it off?

OBS MP seems to ahve an option for multiGPU already, dont know how well it works though. feel free to try, you might get addicted to the new version as it is much more versatile (not many plugins yet though).

SLI is something you turn on by yourself once you have two or more GPUs installed and connected together in your system in order to increase the capabilities of such system. Judging by the phrasing of your reply I highly doubt that is the case but just to be sure

I'll have a look at it, thanks.
