Microphone picks up in-game audio even with the use of earphones
I really want to record the in-game audio using the recorder not my microphone.

Are you using VAC or some other virtual audio program?

Some realtek sound controllers as well as some other low-end sound controllers (some logitech usb headsets for example) introduce mic/speaker or mic/headphone cross-feed at a level that basically requires routing sound through a completely separate device to get it isolated. Even VAC isn't enough.

I use a external microphone not connecting to my ear phones.
Note really cheap but should not pick up earphone audio.

Earphones like that aren't exactly known for their ability to keep sound from leaking.
