Question / Help Microphone Outputting Desktop Audio

Wnds

New Member
Whenever I stream with my microphone enabled, the microphone output in OBS also contains the desktop audio output. This causes a very noticeable echo in my stream, especially when I have a delay enabled on my microphone (which I have to do when capturing with my Elgato). Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

Here is a copy of the log file from my last stream:

You aren't watching your own stream while live, are you? OBS will record the audio from your browser.

I'm also having a problem like this as well. Everytime I say something into my mic, it repeats itself 10 seconds later.

For instance, say if I said "Hello" to my stream it'll repeat "Hello" about 5-10 seconds later in a lower volume. This also goes for all other sounds when my mic is on.

Sleezy, sounds like you have your stream open in a tab and not muted. 10 seconds delay is about right for the stream delay to hit.

Er, I think I said it wrong and no, my stream is not open in another tab.

What I meant was that I say "Hello" and when it does say it, it repeats "Hello" again in a quieter volume. So it'll say "Hello" in a normal volume voice and then it'll say "Hello" again about 5 seconds later (without me saying it again) in a quieter volume. So... it says "Hello" twice when I only say it once.

Can you post a video example of the problem, and make sure no browser windows are open at the time?
