Bug Report Microphone not working - Intermitent

Hi

I was using v0.57 and moved to 0.59 but now for some strange reason the mic does not record on every stream.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't and I can't seem to find out why as now and then I will simply shut down OBS and restart and it will work, other times it won't.

I have to record and see if the audio got grabbed.

Thought you might like to know.

Update...

I set the mic and speakers to default in the hope that this would resolve the issues but on the subsequent recording I did there was no audio.

In the one immediately after it recorded the mic for about 20 seconds and then cut out.

Very odd... I did another test and after just 6 seconds it cut out but when I rolled a YouTube video in the background all of a sudden it started streaming audio and also the mic.

I tested again immediately afterwards and no cut outs at all with mic.

Check your scene buffering time in advanced - you may need to raise it, especially if your log refers to late segments.

Could you also post a log of this? If it is a buffering issue, it'll usually indicate such in the log file. This happens on rare occasions due to the audio subsystem being a bit.. sub-par.

Thanks for the quick response guys. For now at least it seems to be OK but the audio sync issue, although only minor is driving me nuts. I'm unsure whether it's the mic that's lagging or the video. The log file would indicate the mic has an issue, here it is:

Yep, buffering issue. Keep incrementing "Scene buffering time" in advanced by 100 until it stops happening.
