Question / Help Microphone delay

Hello,

I use AA(Adobe Audition) for better voice quality, but it adds a 100ms delay to the micrphone. Now my microphone sound comes in 100ms later then the actual game sound. Would there be an easy way to fix this?

I also noticed the delay is a little bit big while streaming to Twitch.tv, around 40-60 seconds. Is that normal?

Yes it's normal for twith.tv to have a delay. On the 100ms delay from AA you can correct for that in OBS. Open OBS and go to settings then audio. At the bottom of the audio section there is an option for Mic Sync offset, set it to -100 and test it. You will probably have to change it up a bit till you find a delay that works best for you.

Ok thanks for your input. Thats pretty much what I thought that would fix it. However, adding -100 to the sync doesnt really do much. I now increased the buffer to 600 and the offset to -500 to completely get rid of this delay.

What can make the delay so much more than 100 ms is what I would really like to know now. Also is there anything wrong with using the settings I described? Seem a bit high to me.

I'm sorry. I suppose I wasn't clear enough. What I meant to ask was if the values I'm using to get rid of the 100ms microphone delay are ok?

For some reason, yesterday all was working well, but now after starting a record my voice is delayed again even with the settings used mentioned above.

What could cause this?
