Question / Help Mic starts echoing an hour into broadcast - Twitch

So anytime I stream my game in Twitch, all is well until about an hour into broadcasting. After an hour, my microphone sounds like it is in a cave and is echoing very bad. What is strange is that it works perfect until that hour in. I don't alt+tab out of the game or anything. It just randomly starts doing it. Any ideas? And I don't have the stream or dashboard open. Nothing is open but OBS and the game. My microphone settings do not have "listen to device" checked. I've looked at everything and can't seem to figure it out. Any ideas where to look? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you all!

dodgepong, here is my log file. I am currently uploading my Twitch stream to YouTube, but you can currently view it on Twitch. The mic works for the first hour and a half of the video then it starts echoing for the remainder of the video. This log upload is the actual log file for this broadcast. Also, my webcam mic is totally disabled.

Here is the broadcast that goes with this log file:

According to that log, you have your microphone added both as your webcam audio device and as your OBS mic. I recommend disabling either the webcam audio device or your OBS mic.

Hi Dodgepong,

Thank you for your response! I don't believe that is the issue. The webcam mic is completely removed as a Windows audio device. I disabled it. Here is a screenshot of my audio settings in OBS and in Windows. I have my speakers selected as the desktop audio device and the microphone that is on my new Sennheiser Game Zero headset, as you see, plugged into my onboard soundcard.

Yes, but what about your webcam source properties? That is what I was asking about.

I wasn't saying that your webcam mic was enabled. I was saying that in your webcam source properties, the audio device associated with the webcam is set as your normal mic.

Hi Dodgepong,

I just wanted to say thank you very much for your assistance! I believe that did the trick! I right clicked on my webcam in OBS and went to the properties. In there, I told it to not use an audio device. Even though the webcam mic was disabled in Windows and not operating in OBS, it appears the software was trying to use it since I had that value in there. I did a couple streams that lasted over an hour and the echoing never came back! Thanks again!
