Question / Help Mic sound getting lower and lower while recording

Hi

It's the first video i make so i might not have proper settings. I'm trying to make a highlight video and when there is the video sound, my voice sound is high as i want it and it's all good. The problem is when i pause the video and i keep talking, my voice is lowered gradually and i cant hear what i say after a while. I thought it was microphone noise gate setting that was too high but it doesnt seem like it is the problem since i lowered it and i still have it.

Can someone pls give me a clue about how to fix it?

usually when a problem like this happens, its due to skype's sound ducking feature enabled which globally duck's the mic volume in OBS.

i am not using skype while recording but later i was speaking to a friend and it seemed to have the same problem so it may be my microphone
