so when i first started using obs my mic worked but now it wont work at all even when it is in the device list any way to fix this?

What mic do you use? certain headset mic's are known to have "challenges"
Make sure your mic itself works!
(also make sure your drivers are up to date for your mic if it has any)
- if it does that continue!
Use OBS as administrator (right click - Use as admin)
Make sure that your mic is selected before booting up the preview or the stream itself!
If all that doesn't work check if you are using the 32 or 64 bit version of OBS, try the other version depending on which one you are using to see if that works.
