Question / Help Mic not recording in game.

As long as I have OBS on top of every other window my voice is recorded on the stream. If I click into the game and try to talk nobody on the stream hears me.

I am using DXTORY + OBS to stream to twitch.

Reason I use DXTORY + OBS is because half of the time when I try GAME CAPTURE for Planetside 2 it doesn't show up in the list. Plus with lagirith lossless codec it seems to work better for me. And also I can alt+tab out of PS2 and the game still stream. Under Game Capture I just get a black screen.

This would most likely be windows' sound settings of some sort. I've never once heard of such a thing happening before, so it has to be either that or something related to your audio drivers. It said you had reacquired a few times, but even then it always reacquired fine after that.

Try running OBS as admin, it should fix the game capture issue, and actually, hm, might actually fix the mic issue as well.

Will try it here in a minute. Appreciate the response. Another issue I noticed was one day when I was running OBS and inside the settings window people on teamspeak couldn't hear me talk until I minimized OBS or closed the settings window. Then soon ass I clicked on ssettings again they couldn't hear me talk. Then the next time I ran OBS it worked fine.
