Question / Help Mic not picking up sound

Microphone from my Logitech C920 webcam is not picking up any sound (audio bar doesn't flash in OBS). The microphone is working fine as i've tested it in Skype so i think it's an OBS issue.

Leave the audio input device on the properties of the webcam at disabled.

Use it in your mic/aux settings in settings->audio.
 
New log is almost the same as old log.

In settings - Audio
Change the mic/aux audio device to the c920 if you want to use its microphone.
 
i also have a logitech 920 webcam. OBS is picking up NO sound with the web cam, even though the Microphone/Auxilary Audio Device is set to 'Microphone (HD pro Webcam c920)'. OBS is having no trouble picking up the desktop sounds when i play music from spotify for example, but it's a different story when it comes to mics. i tried everything, even setting the audio device to 'disabled' as suggested above. i am all out of ideas.

i also have a XM-L Lavalier Microphone that i tried setting up by plugging it into one of my audio jacks. problem is OBS doesn't even pick it up as a suggestion in the Microphone/Auxilary Audio Device section. ideally i would like to set this up as i believe an actual microphone would be clearer than a web cam from a slight difference. WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP? and please don't ask me to post a log, i have NO idea what that involves. please help...
