As the title shown, I've tried to record some footage while using my mic. The mixer shows that the mic is on, but when i record and i watch the recording, i can't hear my own voice. I attached screenshots of my settings. Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated :D

Edit: So i just found out that if i watch the video using the native media player in windows i cant hear my voice, but if i play it on capcut i can i hear my voice clear. Still, i think i'm supposed to be able to hear my voice regardless of the player right?

i have had the same issue since updating the latest version. i have spent countless hours trying to fix this. my audio mixer is set correctly and i can hear myself record, but playback volume is too low for my microphone . audio output playback is fine. i would love for someone to post how to fix this. thank you.

It's a big bad BUG on the latest versions of obs. in my system (high end rog pc) no sound is recorded from line in source. Sound is playing normally even through obs monitor but no sound in the recorded file... You can see that there is no sound on the properties of the recorded mkv, usually there is no audio bitrate shown, or sometimes it's 2 (!). Audacity records just fine, and also any other recording program i tested, so it's not pc's fault. I hope they fix it fast.

Workaraund: You can unhide/enable Desktop Audio (in the audio sources, and unmute it. So when i do this, desktop audio has exactly the same sound as my line in, and then miraculously, audio is recorded.

Problem sheems to be on every sound source. I Did a test with blackmagic hdmi capture card with sound from camera, and sound was also not recorded.

Just tested and confirmed on a second pc. Booth systems are used to professional livestreaming for about 5 years now, with obs.
Booth AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor (3.40 GHz). One with Asus x570 rog strix x570-E gaming, second with msi x570 godlike meg. Booth 32Gb Ram and latest windows 11. Conclusion is: If desktop audio is not enabled and unmuted (obs settings - audio - global audio devices - desktop audio - default), no sound is recorded.

Livetream sound sheems to be ok.
