Question / Help Mic audio not being captured

So I switched to OBS studio when it first released. I loved it. Then the first update came which made audio from capture card choppy. Switched to old OBS but video and audio were off by 1.5 seconds. So I became fed up with that once I heard there was another update for OBS Studio which fixed the audio choppiness. And lo and behold it did. But now my mic audio is not being captured at all yet everything else is being captured perfectly fine. I've tried reinstalling OBS Studio 3 times now and my mic audio is still not being captured. Need help immediately as OBS Studio is what I am preferring to use since everything is in sync here and not on OBS original.

Please can you provide a log, details here:

Couple of quick questions, do you see the Mic/Aux device in the mixer? Have you gone to Settings, Audio and chosen a specific device in the Mic/Aux drop down rather than leaving it on Default?
Yes. The mic is in the mixer. I went to settings each time i reinstalled and made sure that my headset microphone was selected. I have a feeling it's a bug with the software.

watching stream while streaming and unable to hear my voice knowingly based on visual and audio queues in game

Can you take a screen shot and post it of the following two configuration pages:

Settings, Output
Edit, Advanced Audio Properties

Basically if you see the level in the mixer then OBS is getting audio from your microphone, the fact that it's not appearing in your stream could be down to a configuration problem or a very low gain level meaning that it's there but too quiet to hear. Let's check the config first :-)

For some reason the audio levels on your VOD are very low. I had to ramp everything up to max even with headphones to hear the game sounds. To be honest I am not sure what is causing that as all your configuration looks good to get a decent level onto Twitch. Have you tried doing a recording and do you see the same problem?

What are your Windows settings? For Microphone right click on the speaker in the bottom right of the Task bar, choose Recording Devices and then Right Click on your Razer device and choose Properties and then the Levels tab. Level should be at 100%.

Did you find a solution to this problem? A friend of mine has the exact same issue. His mic is detected, the volume meter in OBS Studio is moving when he talks, but the audio from the mic is simply not broadcasted to the stream. We can only hear his in-game audio (loud and clear). He's using an ASUS Strix with the included external USB sound card, if that's of any help.

I Skyped with him yesterday and I could hear his mic fine, but when he tried streaming (for the first time) today, this issue occurred. He downloaded OBS Studio last night, so he's using OBS Studio v0.13.2.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread by any means, just trying to add more info to the topic if it can be of any assistance to anyone (including the developers, if this is a bug).
