Question / Help Mic audio not being captured

Can you post me a link to a more recent VOD where your Windows levels were at 100%.

Could you also try to add a Gain Filter to your mic just to see if there is a problem with your levels generally. In the Mixer click the cog next to your Mic and choose Filters, Choose Add, Gain and give it a 10db boost. If still nothing then try it with a 30db boost just to be sure :-)

Hey guys so I found a simple fix that works for me, maybe it could help some of you out. Click on settings, then go to the audio section. From there, disable all of your microphones in their respective drop down lists and press apply. Then reselect your microphones in the drop down lists and press apply once again. Basically forcing the microphones to reinitialize seem to have fixed it for me.

The cause of the problem for me is using multiple profiles. I have a profile set for recording and a profile set for streaming. When I set up my mics for the streaming profile, they stop working for my recording profile until I disable and reenable all of them.

Hopefully this helps someone out!

I'm having a similar problem when recording, not streaming. I can hear my mic from my Focusrite 18i20 2nd Gen. but it is not captured by OBS. It used to be captured a year ago. Not anymore. No idea why.

Here I am thinking I was the only one having this problem..

I can confirm that the issue is indeed with StreamLabs OBS.
This problem DOES NOT occur when using Nvidia's Experience Live Broadcasting software.

I am using a Blue Ice Microphone and the mic randomly cuts while streaming via OBS.
People in-game can still hear my voice but for whatever reason OBS just randomly cuts in and out.

I was thinking it has something to do with the Blue Microphone itself not being compatible with OBS, but after some more research I have found plenty others have the same issue with different mics.

Just a note, I do use Push-to-Talk, both in-game & via OBS/Nvidia.

You should contact StreamLabs for support of StreamLabs OBS.

Level should be at 100%.

Also he should try microphone boost option. I think i would work. Also try adjusting different microphone setting is windows.
Make sure to grant permission to access microphone from the settings rather that leaving it for default.
If you still can't hear audio then check it isn't mute and connected properly which of course you would make sure
Make sure that your microphone or headset is the system default recording device. Make it default device from the settings>>sound>>select device>>set as default.
Now test your mic. Otherwise you can test mic here at mictest.me for better results.
Boost microphone volume from sounds>>recording>>microphone>>properties>>levels. As mentioned adjust to 100 and also try boosting for better results.
