Question / Help Mic and Audio Capture Doesn't Work

Since yesterday, OBS wasn't detecting my microphone. It used to work fine (the last I streamed which was about 1 month ago). So, I just uninstalled and reinstalled OBS and now audio capture and my mic isn't working. My mic works for everything else though.

You will need to post a link to a clean log file. To make a clean log file, first restart OBS, then start your stream for 2-3 Minutes, and stop it again. Then, in OBS, select Help > Log Files > Upload current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

That log doesn't indicate any issue with audio not being captured correctly. What exactly is the issue? Are the green bars going up and down when you try to capture? How are you testing to see if it works?

No. No bars going up at all. I'm playing music and talking to try and test both. Both of them are set to the correct audio configs.Desktop audio device is set to Default. Microphone is set to my Blue Snowball. Force Microphone is not on. Nor is Force desktop audio to use video timestamps as a base for audio time.

Very strange indeed. Have you rebooted since you reinstalled? I'm honestly kind of puzzled, since I don't see anything wrong in the log.

Is there someone above you that possibly knows better about this issue that you could contact? This issue is really getting on my nerves.

I don't really know what else to say. If you're doing what you say you're doing, then you're doing everything the right way, and there are no errors. I don't know what could be going wrong at all, unless newer logs reveal something. You're sure the volumes are turned all the way up and both audio meters are Red?

So, it seems to be fixed somehow now.. All I did was reinstall again and I figured out that it only shows my mic and audio capture working when I press record/stream. Thanks for the help!
