My MacBook is TOO SLOW.
I've already optimized space, I have a 1TB hard drive with 300GB free.
16GB Ram
And everything is up to date.
I open my OBS linked with Restream.io and the transmission is slow, my Mac is slow.
When I uninstall OBS, my Mac is back to normal.
Please, I ask for help, support.
Grateful in advance for the support.

Which model MacBook, Intel or Apple Silicon (M1)? What are your streaming settings?

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying.
Here are the screens you requested.
They are in the Portuguese-BR language
I believe you will be able to understand it logically.
Very grateful for the help.
It's work and it's getting slow right away.

Per pinned post in the support forums
that is a relatively old CPU, optimized for battery life, not the computationally demanding task of real-time video encoding. doable, with caveats/limitations. so you will need to be careful with both Operating System and OBS settings.
Are you running OBS in Studio Mode (ie both preview and streamed/recorded windows? if yes, that is doubling the rendering workload... probably best to turn Studio Mode off, at least for now)
And you may need to turn off applications you aren't using (especially if you are the type of user to have lots of browser tabs open (each consuming RAM, potentially a LOT) and lots of open applications. You have limited hardware resources (CPU, GPU, RAM, disk I/O, etc) which you have to manage.

Thanks for the answer ...

Buying a newer, more powerful computer is one way of possibly solving your issue. Or maybe you just need to adjust your Computer settings and usage behavior slightly??
Regardless of how powerful a new computer you get, real-time video encoding can, with certain settings, still overwhelm such a system. I'm not saying in your case it will, but just be aware that using Free Open Source Software means you are expected to teach yourself and know what you are doing, understand system interactions and dependencies, etc. OBS provides a LOT of flexibility in configuration. And in that, a huge range of possible computer power requirements.

Not for OBS, but I was running a 10+ yr old computer up until recently, as with plenty of RAM and some SSD upgrades it was running just fine for all my other computing needs (including running multiple virtual machines at same time). But running OBS, like running complex video editing software, takes serious compute power in many circumstances. But I'm cheap, and like to tech myself new things, so I'd start with seeing about getting the current system to work, before getting something new
