Question / Help Lower volume of desktop/game sounds on OBS only

ughhhhh

Member
Alright, to explain, I don't want to lower my in game sound or Windows sound because it makes it harder for me to hear footsteps in COD4. I have bad hearing and a cheap headset. So is there a way to only quiet down the Windows/In-Game sounds for the stream?

just lower your audio from the volume mixer on your pc, OBS just picks up all sounds coming through your mixer, so turning those down will result in it being lowered in your stream/video

Just use the bar graph next to the speaker icon, assuming you're on OBS Classic. It will turn down the system channel.

I don't want to turn the volume of anything down, I need to delay my desktop audio by 1 second. But I need to keep 1 sources audio not delayed

This isn't your thread. The OP asked how to turn down the game/system audio on-stream without turning it down on their speakers. Which is what you use the bar graph next to the speaker icon for.
