Question / Help Low upload - high bitrate?

I've tried looking through the forum but I guess I can't seem to find the right key words. My problem is that since moving house my upload speed has taken a hit, which means I'll have to change my bitrate to 1700, for someone who also uploads streams to youtube this is very annoying. I was wondering if there is a possibility to keep streaming live with the low bitrate but record at a higher bitrate. I have a second pc, but no capture card. Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!

Not currently. The OBS rewrite will have this capability.

A somewhat hacky workaround can be found here. That would let you save a high bitrate and low bitrate version of the video, but is rather complicated.

Okay I'll look into it, will have to install linux on one of my pc's since I do stream to twitch (there was mention of lags on windows).

You don't need to install linux to use it or anything, it works fine on windows and mac as well. (Though subjectively speaking linux is superior to windows in many ways)
