Question / Help Low Record FPS, High Playback FPS?

Hey, there. I use OBS for all of my recording, and I pretty much love it. I was wondering if there's some way I could record at a low FPS (like, say, 1 frame a second) and play back at a higher FPS value (like 60 FPS) to achieve a fast-forward kind of video? The goal is to basically be able to make a speedpaint like video, where it shows someone rapidly paint or draw something at 60x the speed (so the entire video's only a few minutes, while it might take hours to actually draw). If not, it's cool - I can just use Blender to speed and slice up the video, as I've done in the past (and will do in the future).

Thanks!

Hmm you could set the frame rate in the encoder to a lower rate. say 15 and then use a video editing software to re-encode at a higher frame rate but I doubt it would be very smooth. I'll do a quick recording test and try it with adobe premier and see if it would work.

Ok after doing some tests in adobe premier. It didn't really work. So your best bet would be to capture game play in standard 30 fps and using your video editor software to do a timeshift effect. It would depend on the video editor that you use.
