Hello. I would like ask you experianced streamers, what settings do you use with low bandwith internet? I mean really low, i can only stream with 200kbs and the quality looks like a fried buttermilk biscuit. How can i maximize my quality gains from the 200kbs messing up with the settings? Right now i use CBR 200kb/s, audio aac 80bitrate, 640x360 resolution, x264 preset very fast, my pc setup: Amd Athlon x2 II X2 270 3.40ghz, 2gb ram, and so on with default settings. Please help me

well lets point the facts out .... really really bad cpu for streaming and pretty much the worst uploadspeed to work with.

and its kbps because 200kb/s would be ~1.7mbit which wouldnt be that bad

You can't stream with that setup, not at any reasonable quality.

kb/s and kbps both mean kilobits per second. 200KB/s would be 1.6Mbit. Uppercase B = Bytes, lowercase b = bits.

you still understood the difference and the "~" was in the meaning for approx but keep correcting for no real reason.

thank you very much

I have to agree with some of the other posters, that processor is simply not strong enough to stream with at any quality. I had and AMD Athlon II x4 620 2.6ghz overclocked to 3.1ghz with great cooling and the best I could stream at was 480p 30fps. My net did however allow for some leeway as I was able to stream at 2000kbps which helped the clarity alot.

But 200kbps to stream with is quite literally a waste of your time if you are trying to be serious about streaming.
