Question / Help Lost World Record because of Comcast. I'm done.

I have comcast business internet with 50 down and 10 up.

I keep DC'ing when I stream, I think it's the twitch servers but I also lag in game when I dc.

Is this just OBS doing this or what?

I just re-formatted so I don't have a virus, I just use a cable modem, no wifi, no router.

Pretty simple setup.

Should I use a different version of OBS and not the most updated version?

I've heard people that have went back to an old version and it stopped them from DC'ing.

Re: Disconnecting. Perfect computer, perfect internet. WHY?

If multiple programs experience connectivity issues at the same time the issue is most likely with your internet connection, not with OBS. Extended periods of dropped frames to Twitch can cause a disconnection, and if you're lagging out in your games at the same time then a more general internet connectivity problem seems much more likely.

http://testmy.net/db/03XzHyk.Ee2BF73 500kb upload? Seriously comcast?

I'm paying $109 a month for this shit? This is worse then Dial up!

Just DC'd today on a really good run, I will highlight it later...

I was going about roughly 30 seconds ahead of my Personal best and I was about half way through, I could of got way more time because the beginning of the route I did almost perfectly on my PB so I wasn't even supposed to get time at the beginning, this is with a bad knight kill (for the people who know what that means)

and bad gargoyles.

I could of easily saved 1 minute +

EASILY.

I can say this with cofidence because Gargoyles and O&S are the two biggest barriers.

I can do duke skip, I'm pretty good at the seath split.

Only thing that could of stopped me was bad RNG on nito or 4 kings, thats it!

But I DC'd right after O&S on this potentially good run (Sub 52 or even WR)

This is the final straw, I am sick of Comcast and I'm tired of DC'ing.

This is more of a rant but if anyone here can help me, I would be very VERY happy.

Thanks for reading. :)

If your world record runs are being put in danger by your connectivity, then of course doing a local-only recording would avoid that.

The rewrite of OBS will have the ability to run a local recording separate from the stream, so if you lose connectivity, you still have the local recording running.
