Question / Help Losing encoding FPS on N. Sane Trilogy with Vsync On, choppy when Off

Hello. I've been streaming Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and I'm facing a weird problem, at least that I haven't faced before. I'm losing encoding FPS (not in-game) while Vsync is On while I play. Turning off Vsync and limiting the FPS to 60 in-game makes the problem go away, but also makes the stream become very choppy, not a smooth 60 at all.

I'm at 5500 bitrate, CBR, Fast preset (R7 1700 processor), high profile. Latest version of OBS Studio. If necessary I can provide a log, I'll stream it today so I can use the one from the stream itself.

I'd like to fix the choppiness basically, turning Vsync on seems to fix it but ruin my encoding FPS, and turning it off makes for choppy video, so what can I do to get a steady, non-choppy 60 on this game? Thanks in advance.

Couldn't upload the log as it was too large. Also take a look at the attached image, that's very weird and goes on for way longer than the print shows. More info: The encoding FPS only drops while the game is selected on windows (fullscreen optimizations disabled, also), if the game is captured by the game capture but it not selected itself, the stream runs at a fine 60.

Ok I managed to get to upload this one. Last one was over 1,2mb and this one is only 50kb.

Here's another log, this is one from my most recent stream. Was playing Monster Hunter World. Game was running smoothly, but the encoding FPS was dropping all the time. Tried both Vsync on and off, and always had the in-game fps limited to 60.

The sheer number of times that error is coming up tells me there's a problem with one of your audio devices as well.

How would I go about fixing it? I mean where do I start? Afaik everything is in order in terms of drivers and settings.

Have you tried turning off using device timestamps for your audio devices in edit - advanced audio properties?

They were initially off, then I turned them on. Now they're all turned off again, no difference.

Just now my audio just died and my high definition audio device simply disappeared from my computer, as if it simply had ceased to function. Brought the bios to the default settings and it's working again.

Could this even be related to the FPS problem?
