Question / Help Long delay in actual feed to actual broadcast

I am VERY new to streaming. I have everything set up as suggested in the OBS quick start and using Twitch.tv as my server. There is about a 15-second delay in my live feed between the two. Is this common? If not, can it be corrected? Thank you in advance.

It is normal, and caused by the video distribution method (HLS) that twitch.tv uses.

If you need a shorter delay, you would have to look into using another streaming service.

Thank you for the quick reply. May I ask, how can I kill the audio feed? I have tried disabling it within the OBS setup but I still hear audio on the actual feed (at Twitch.tv). I would prefer not to have it of possible. Again, thank you so much.

If you mute both the desktop and microphone volume in obs, the sound should be totally muted.
