as stated in the topic. I can't seem to get the video to display in OBS.

Also if anyone knows how you record party chat while streaming please explain.

Is your cam plugged into a USB 3.0 port? I had the same problem and it was solved after I plugged the cam into a USB 2.0 port.

As for your first problem forbo's solution isn't a real fix which I am currently in the process of solving myself. As for your second problem. Recording party chat should happen automatically when yoy are streaming to make audio work you go to your settings then audio and set your desktop audio device to whatever you hear sound from. Most likely whatever headset you use. Unless you use speakers for sound playback (which I don't advise for game play, which is what I assume you are using OBS for) then setting you mic to your preferred mic which if you aren't using a professional mic set up I would suggest using a webcam with a built in mic over your headset mic (better sound quality I feel depending on the headset).

Solved it remove your webcam and re-add it to your OBS then put it where you want in in the order of things you have on your OBS and resize to your liking.

Actually Forbo was giving some good advice. The c920 is known to malfunction quite badly, and worse, erratically when plugged into a USB 3.0 port.

A webcam mic is going to be far worse quality than any headset; it will pick up a lot more ambient noise, reverb/echo, and your sound quality will change depending on your positioning relative to the cam. Most of the problems of a large-capsule mic, with the added fun of being worse quality as it has to be stuffed into a tiny cam enclosure.

Removing and re-adding the cam will work for some issues, but it isn't a full-on fix.
Glad to hear it worked in your case though! :)
