Hello!
Can you help me out with giving me some advices for good local record settings.
I am trying to record minecraft and i want it to not be laggy,sometimes it says that the encoding is high and the video has some lag spikes
My pc specs :
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.60 GHz
RAM: 12 GB
Windows 8.1 x64
HDD: 1 TB
NVidia Geforce 840M
P.S. I have laptop (Asus X550L)
Thanks!

Thanks.
One more thing. When I want to record my desktop, I have to select the default video card - intel, otherwise I can see black and when I want to record games, nvidia be selected. Why?
* Sorry for my english.

OBS needs to run on the graphics hardware that renders what's being captured. On switchable graphics laptops that have two GPUs, you have to manually set OBS to run on the high performance Nvidia graphics hardware since that's what renders your games. However the low power integrated graphics hardware is used for rendering what monitor capture records. So you end up having to pick between monitor capture on the integrated GPU, or window and game capture on the high performance Nvidia GPU. It's a limitation of the laptop design.
