Question / Help Little help for a newbie?

So, I'm pretty new to the whole streaming and screencapping scene. I have started a YouTube channel and wanna do some Let's Play style of stuff in my downtime. The software itself works amazingly, but it's all in post production that I am experiencing issues.

So, here's my setup. I currently use OBS to capture my game footage and save it directly to my computer instead of streaming it live to a site. While I am doing so, I am using the camera on my phone to record my face to be used as a Facecam overlayed Picture-in-Picture style in one of the corners of the video of game footage. Now here's where things have been giving me a headache. The sound quality and video quality on my OBS-captured footage are excellent, much more so than the sound quality of the video recorded from my camera, so I choose to use those as the base for my video. I completely erase the sound file from the video recorded from my camera and instead synchronize the facecam video to the audio from the actual gameplay video. It works great for the first two minutes or so, then slowly begins to come out of sync. Ten minutes into the combined video and I will often find my facecam is about 4-5 seconds ahead of the audio.

Is there anything within OBS that I can toggle with that might fix this issue? Keep in mind that I am trying to synchronize two different videos that are obviously recording at different intervals. I'm doing my best to figure this out, but have no idea what to do.

I think the main issue is that OBS is recording at a solid 30fps and my phone only records at 29.97. IS there any way to force OBS to record at 29.97?

Well, I've found myself a workaround that I am currently testing. If I can simply convert the OBS footage to 29.97, things SHOULD match up. I'll let you all know if it works.

OBS will be able to do 29.97 and 59.94 in future versions.
