Question / Help LGP vs PCI-E

I've decided not to go with Elgato for my Camcorder capture and Console capture for games, but I still cannot find a solid answer to the benifits of using PCI-E over Portable.

Can anyone shed some light on this.

PCIe has much higher bandwidth than USB this allows higher quality video to be sent to your computer because video is not compressed on your capture device, and for that reason too, you get (nearly) live video to your computer, could be a slight delay depending on device (50ms Max). This helps with all forms of synchronization

File size for what you are recording is completely dependent on what settings you use. The difference would be in quality for given file size.
