Question / Help League of Legends in game FPS slowdown

Hello fellow OBS users. For some reason, every time I start streaming my games in League, my fps drops to < 30, sometimes plummeting into the low 20s. I remember I used to stream the game at high 50s. I've done my research and searched many guides/troubleshooting tips but all were to no avail. Could it be that I haven't cleaned out my fans/heatsinks for dust buildup? Would overheating cause an issue? While running League with task manager I see that my CPU avgs around 35 -50 % usage and occasionally spikes up to 75/80% which is not good. Thanks.

Edit* : If it helps I'm at university so upload rate is not an issue.

If you're on windows 7 you may want to try using game capture instead.

If you get a black screen with it and it uses an nvidia, then you just have it set up wrong. If you want, you can come by chat or something, say my name to get my attention, and then I'll help you set it up over teamviewer. What you were doing before is a cross-capture, which causes the FPS slowdown. You really want to get that laptop set up right so the capture is efficient and doesn't affect your game.
