Question / Help Laptop w Dual GPU: Black Screen

I am using a laptop with dual graphics Intel + AMD 7970m I can pick Intel HD4000.

When the game runs it uses AMD 7970m how can I get OBS software to recognize it?

From what I have heard from people actually having these, you cant. your only option is window capture with compatibility mode enabled. Also your games/apps will need to run in windowed mode.

feel free to play. the nvidia counterparts are able to see it by adding OBS to the nvidia control panel to make sure the app runs on the GPU.

I added OBS to my list, set it to high performance... sadly still black screen. So that's not the workaround so far. perhaps the DEVS can shine some light on this?

U wont use the hd4000, right? Is it the igpu? There should be a way to disable it in bios.

This isn't a new issue. this is about the differences in how the switchable graphics works and the software supporting it

There is no option in this limited bios to disable integrated Intel HD4000... and disabling the Intel in hardware manager and rebooting for a hope to see AMD 7970m show up yields no result other than AMD drivers not installed...
