Question / Help Laptop running OBS with nvidia processor cause blackscreen.

Hi!


I was having problems with blackscreens in full screen games, and found out that it was because OBS runs on integrated graphics instead of nvidia which the games use.


So I made OBS run on nvidia and actually had the game capture work!! HOWEVER everything else is black now, I can't show anything but fullscreened games.

What can I do? I've tried to make everything run on nvidia but it doesn't seem to work out ( don't need the longer battery anyway ).
 
Well, you have to see if you can completely deactivate the integrated chip, or it will be used for your desktop render I guess. OBS unfortunately can not switch between the chips.
You could try the "compatibility mode" option in your window or monitor capture and see if that works.
