Question / Help Laggy stream

Hi guys,


So I have an Upload speed of 3.11Mbps which the highest I can afford.
I heard some streamers use 3Mpbs but still have no lag.


I am using a Mac
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Software OS X 10.9.5


Since the Mac version of OBS hardly has options, can someone please give me some tips or something to improve streaming?

(Please dont send me the link of the OBS website where you fill out detail and they recommend you a setting because Mac is not there)
