Question / Help Lagging... and other stuff

Without OBS, I see no FPS drop.. with OBS, lots of FPS drops.. like stuttering.. in BF4 I have above 100fps.. yet I feel stuttering.

With OBS in BF4: 130fps max with stuttering
Without OBS in BF4: 170-180fps max no stuttering

same goes with Titanfall..
OBS: 50-60 and suddenly even 40 making me shoot ugly.. can't play like this nor stream.
Without OBS: 58-60fps smooth gameplay, 15 kills, 0 deaths every game.

OBS Log:

Running Quick Sync (Doesn't it need to improve performance?)

without Quick Sync, I have the same feeling.. same frame drops..

What's wrong? by the way, my upload speed is 3400kbps(Router site says this), and speedtest.net says 3100 ... approximately 3000... aka. I'm running 3Mbps upload speed.

And what is the recommended buffer size and bitrate size for my upload speed? cuz my stream looks all pixely when it's running... I mean, it's fulled with pixelation and not very "eye candy" .. :/.. lagging too I believe.. it doesn't feel like 30fps, like a youtube video. Dunno... and on my phone it's laggy and getting stuck everytime.

P.S. Tried 2500 bitrate and buffer size.. Didn't work.. and it kinda lagged my stream dunno how to say this but no pixels. (Some.. but barely)
Tried 1700, like you see in the log, and it started pixelation...

How can I fix all my problems?

Hm, perhaps it's most likely graphics-related, this *is* BF4 after all, and although the GPU is good, it's not top-of-the-line or anything, so I'm not entirely surprised if it doesn't run perfect with OBS on, though to be perfectly honest I'm just not entirely sure. Could you perhaps try using downscale? I'm not entirely sure.

I'm playing Titanfall on 60fps locked.. but the stream gives me less than that... why.

(I tried downscaling.. won't solve it.)

I'm not sure, in the log it said everything was fine. Could you output to video file and open the file with VLC/MPC-HC and see if they play back the same way?

Uhh I guess it's my GPU.. My friend has the same i5 as me.. well close to mine and he's able to stream at 60fps(IG and OBS).. :/. but I can't due to my GTX 560 Ti.. I have to get a new GPU! :D..

@He has a GTX 780 Ti. no wonder.

I don't know if it's the GPU or not -- the GPU seems a bit lacking yea, but I'm not entirely sure if that's it or not. If your friend has the same system and a different video card then I suppose that would make sense, though personally speaking I just have to give a disclaimer here that I just can't really know without being at the computer.

Still, a new video card is always nice, makes games run faster and at higher quality, streaming aside. It definitely can't hurt.

yeah but so weird :/... and what Bitrate you recommend me? cuz speedtest.net to London says:

40mpbs download
2600 Upload

2100 should be good?

Try it, and if you get frame drops, keep lowering it incrementally until it stops dropping frames (also make some room for your multiplayer games too)

Still getting frame drops.. it's not as smooth as I want it to be :(
what is your preset on or are you still using quick sync?
when gaming + streaming, watch your cpu usage, what is it's typical % used?

my guess here is that you're using up too much cpu, this is causing the game and stream to suffer.
first thing i'd do, drop fps to 45 you're not going to see any difference on twitch streaming at 45 - 60 and the 15 extra wasted frames are going to use a great deal of that cpu power.

Uhh.. typical use? lol.. barely goes above 2 ... I guess, not fully 100 percent.. it's working with the GPU.

and I tried preset 1 best quality and 7 low quality, didn't really change anything.

I actually tried 30 tbh, not 45... but it didn't change too.

Are you using Quicksync? You should post a new log file now that you've made changes since your old one.
