Hey guys, I'm fairly new to streaming on Twitch but I'm having some troubles. When I try to stream a game like Dota or so, my FPS is around 12-14 FPS but I don't know why. And then on top of that, my stream just disconnects randomly.

Make sure that your laptop cpu is not overheating, lower the game graphics and close any application/process that could starve your cpu resources.

Please don't bump your thread. Did you take hilalpro's suggestion and check your temperatures while trying to stream? You shouldn't be getting anywhere near the number of late/duplicate frames you're seeing. If the laptop is running too hot it will lower its speed to avoid overheating.

Yeah, it does get hot and my CPU runs at 70%. But when I make my maxbit rate up in the 6000s, I don't lose connection. I'm going to try it on another game that isn't so dependent on graphics and see how it runs.
