Question / Help Lag spikes when recording minecraft

I got OBS a few weeks ago and for a while it was great, nothing changed and then after another couple weeks with no changes at all I get lag spikes every 5 seconds and in between those lag spikes are smooth framerates over 60 fps. It does not matter If i go lower settings it still lags...
Specs: i7 4700mq 2.4ghz
8gb ram
Gt 755m 2gb
