Question / Help Issues with uploading/managing stream

Hi,

I'm having issues with keeping a high bit rate while streaming. Here are some variables that I can talk about, before I ask for help.

Internet speeds - http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3441867571

*I am on a wireless connection, BUT before anyone tells me to get a wired connection - that is impossible at the moment. I'm affliated with a stable provider, a great download, good upload, I also have dual band wireless adapter (@2.4 ghz, 300Mbps, 5GhzMbps) and I have no problems uploading videos to youtube (full 1080p - 10/20 minutes) - so I don't understand why I can only stream at 200 kbps when everything else exceeds my expectations.

I'm also streaming to twitch.tv btw, and i've tried changing my upload locations, so don't ask about that either. here are the rest of my settings - http://prntscr.com/3aef84 - http://prntscr.com/3aefck - http://prntscr.com/3aeffh ...

Thanks, all feedback and help is appreciated. :)

Please post a log file: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/problem-make-sure-to-post-a-log-and-or-crash-dump-howto.97/

This will give us much more detailed information about what is going on.

However, I will say that even though getting a wired connection might not be an option for you, it could very well be the primary cause of your issue. Speedtests are not very reliable for things that require sustained, stable throughput, like streaming. Even uploading videos to YouTube is not the same, as the file can be uploaded in tiny bursts of bandwith, and a constantly stable throughput isn't required for those kinds of file transfers.

I just read this, and I fixed the Audio problem and the aero problem. Even though the analysis doubts my CPU, i assure you that's not the problem. I have a quad core cpu @ 4.2 ghz, and I don't even stream intensive games anyway. i've streamed with an older dual core cpu @ 2.4 ghz before, so this should be no problem.

Hope this helps.

Edit* also switched uploading locations

Yeah, the log doesn't really show any issues related to CPU, you have very few duplicated/late/skipped frames. Though, side not: your CPU only has 2 physical cores, which limits the encoding power. But again, not a problem at all according to the log file. Your entire issue now is network, and like I said I really think it's going to end up being the wireless that's causing your problem. Could be either router or your PC's adapter, not sure.

You can go through everything in this thread, as it contains every piece of network troubleshooting advice we can give. Maybe something in there will click for you: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/dropped-frames-disconnecting-lag-read-this-first.8870/
