So I just used OBS last night to record two videos and they worked fine, the version of OBS I had installed was 20.0.1 and ran well with the AMD encoder originally. This morning I was going to record some more but the application wouldn't display on my desktop. It kept telling me that there was already an OBS application running and to kill that first but anytime I did that I would run into the same situation. I clicked the 'launch anyway' option and nothing displayed except a bubble telling me that my graphics driver failed but recovered. I've ran into this issue before and a simple restart was usually the remedy but this time it would not fix itself no matter how many restarts. I figured I had to go newer so I installed version 21.0.1 and the same problem occurred. It wasn't until version 22.0.2 that obs would display properly.
I thought that would be it, but every time I would try to record it would tell me I had to update my drivers, so I did that from the official amd support page and I still got the message. I restarted after redownloading amd encoder things and amd updates and now obs version 22.0.2 won't even display the option for the AMD encoding software, only x264 is available. It was like this before, when it had the error message blocking me from recording, but I assumed that it was just being weird. I tried to revert back to older version but they still won't display. Please help, I attached a log of my recordings that only would start from x264 encoding, and we all know that that is not optimal lol. Honestly have no idea what is happening, I feel like if I could get the older versions to display again this will fix itself and the newest version just doesn't like my specs or something.
