Question / Help Issues with low mic volume (AT2020 USB win7 34bit)

First off, I suspect that I've done all I can in settings in OBS. I turned other volume down and have my mic at maximum. I am also emailing Audio Technica support as this seems like it may be their issue.

From googling around, though, it seems like a lot of people have had issues with this from Win7 on, so if AT gets back to me with an easy fix I'll also update here in case in can help someone else. It's a damn good mic and I have no desire to replace it, I just want TO BE HEARD!

However, if there are any suggestions other than the standard going through the settings and making sure my at2020 is default, that it's at max, turning down other audio, etc. I would be appreciative. Please also note that I am getting no errors from OBS, I am loving it, though I'm still a super noob. So I'm hoping there's just a simple setting I've missed.

Again, noob, so if this is too pointless a post/question or if I've overlooked a thread with information, I shan't be offended at being redirected or deleted. Thanks!

Oh yes, everything LOOKS perfect, and it seems to be working now. Suddenly, after another reboot, but now I'm apparently super low in our game voice chat, so. Yeah, I think it's just win7 and the mic fighting. So now my sound is perfect but my video is janky and I'm dropping frames. I believe I'ma have to just suck it up and get a better video card.

Thanks for replying to my notgreat sort of question though!

I have the AT2020 as well. And i have had the same issue. The way i fixed my audio issue with the AT2020 was that i went into my Capture card properties in OBS and went into ''configure'' on the AT2020 as ''audio input device''. Changed/enabled ''Master Input Mix'' (to the loudest), apply settings and put the ''audio input device'' to ''Use device audio''. That fixed the mic for me.

You can also ''Output audio to desktop'' while in preview mode to hear yourself speak and the the settings/play around in OBS until it works.

I can't remember how i fixed my low game audio... I played a lot around in OBS and changed settings back and forth until it worked...

I had a similar issue where my mic was suddenly lower than it used to be despite being at 50%. I upped to 100% and it still wasn't as loud as it used to be. Lowering the mic volume in windows settings to 0, applying then setting it back to 50 (which is what I normally use) seems to have fixed it. Rebooting did not solve this issue, neither did unplugging/replugging.
