Question / Help Issue with Audio and Foot Pedal Input

OBS does not give my foot pedal as a push to talk option. I am running mumble and I have that set up to my foot pedal, but it doesn't work in obs....unless I set up a key on the keyboard...then I am pushing a key and my foot pedal to get my voice to broadcast. This is highly frustrating as I am broad casting, playing a game, push to talk key on keyboard and foot pedal each time I want to broadcast what I am saying.
And yes...I absolutely need push to talk...
I have a infinity foot pedal, a cad u37 standing mic, and a Logitech head set (all voice from mumble to head set) all game sounds to speakers...
This also creates a issue where people watching the broad cast cannot hear other member talking on mumble during the broad cast...I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong with the audio. I am on windows 8.
Any help is deeply appreciated at this point as I am highly frustrated that I cannot get my audio to work right.

I don't know if we can support every single device out there for push-to-talk. We recently added controller support, but foot pedals would probably require special code. It's not a n easy situation. I would like to support it (especially for accessibility-related reasons, for some people it's more than just a convenience tool), but generally the only way for us to be able to do this is to buy every device and try to figure out how to get it working with it.

We can't currently highly prioritize these things, and they often get put on the backburner. I know it frustrates you, but if possible try to understand it from our perspective as well. If you happen to be a C++ programmer and know how to interact with this device that would be amazingly awesome if you or someone else could submit a pull request on the repository for this, but I'm going to guess that you're most likely not a programmer

Nope..not a programmer but I do understand the details of it...so I understand what you are saying. I know I have a few friends who are using a foot pedal for push to talk and use OBS with no issues...So I thought maybe there was something I did wrong in set up or have the wrong equipment. Is there a way to find out what foot pedals are OBS code friendly? Or should I be setting up my Mumble to run my voice stuff or another program...I guess is what I need to know...ty for the response...as I am usually pretty computer savvy...and for some reason, this mic/footpedal/audio thing has me confessed...
