Question / Help Issue using Game Capture with Guild Wars 2

Now I am no expert with stream and in fact only started streaming and using OBS a few days ago. I have my Scene set up for the Guild Wars 2 clients yet when I try to use the Stream Preview or attempt to Start Streaming, all I get is a black screen with the rest of my sources working just fine. When i attempt to restart the game client it will show the login screen for the game but once I play and it changes to the actual game client I get a Black/Blank background. Any help would be great and I am 99% sure this is in fact user error and that is why I am here asking for help.

If you're getting a black screen:
  • If you're running a game in fullscreen mode, make sure you use game capture, because games in fullscreen mode cannot be captured by window/monitor capture.
  • If you're on a laptop, read this: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5965
  • Otherwise we would need a log file to see what you're doing.

I have the same issue, sometimes everything work like a charm, but 80% i can´t use game capture in fullscreen, så i need to do windowed mode.

Depends on the game -- what games are you trying to capture? Is that a log from a failed capture? ..I really need to somehow make it log the game its attempting to capture.

Yes this log is from Guild wars 2. In fullscreen - Game Capture. The strange thing is everything has work flawless and just one day it stopped worked, no new drivers och change setting. Perheps a new verson of OBS.

Will try Call of duty - Black Ops II and Battlefield today after work. WIll update with the resault.

I really wanna gice big creds to all of the ppl that make OBS its an awsome program.

Guild wars 2 should be fine -- what appears to be happening is that game capture is failing for some reason, it's like it's being intercepted before it's able to hook into the game to capture frames. If you're using anti-virus, do you think you could add an anti-virus exception for OBS just to check to see if that's the issue? Game capture functions via code injection to capture frames directly so sometimes it can mistakenly be perceived as a "threat". Not sure what else would cause it in this case. If that's not it, also make sure to run OBS as admin, and try game capture hotkey

I tryed fix add that OBS is ok for Microsoft security essentionals, and holy h#ll it worked!!
