Is there any difference between plugging the monitor with OBS into the graphics card or the motherboard?

I usually have obs running on a second monitor that is plugged into my graphics card along with my main monitor. If I were to plug my second monitor into the motherboard would it make it easier on my graphics card? Would OBS run nearly as well? What If I got a second cheaper graphics card just for my second monitor?

For anyone wondering, I have an RTX 2080 ti and sometimes when I stream it gets pretty hot and I slowly have to turn down/off some settings in order to maintain a good framerate. I would like to fix or at least reduce this problem.
