Question / Help Is there a way to use Avisynth on a video recorded with obs?

I have recorded a video locally using obs, I then used a program to convert it to .avi, but when I write Avisource("c:\users\etc") and play it in a video player, I get the message:AVISource: couldn't locate decompressor for fourcc avc1.
I have looked around but can't find anyone have the specific problem that I have, only similar ones.
Help would be appreciated.

First of all, OBS does not record AVI files. Second, this forum is for questions and help with OBS, not with other applications. I will tell you though, when a video file isn't an AVI, you would typically use DirectShowSource instead.
