Question / Help Is there a way to have an image show up in a scene after a video is finished playing?

Have the image in the scene taking up the space in the scene you want it in a layer BELOW the video (So the video comes out on top)

When the video finishes, unless you have it set to loop, it will disappear without any black placeholder, so the stuff behind it will then show up.

Nope. Not really. Custom transitions aren't in, though they are slated for inclusion with the MP rewrite.

You could always have the image, and toggle it on when the video is playing and covering the scene. I know one or two casters have workaround transitions like this, using global video sources which are present on both layers, but it's a very wonky workaround and breaks easily. The problematic part being that you can't just toggle on the video layer when you go to switch scenes, you have to edit the video layer settings and effectively reset it each time to get it to play again. Meaning no easy hotkeys. Then partway through, while the video is fully obscuring the scene on the top layer, you switch to another scene with the global video on the top layer. Fade transition is invisible, and the video ends clearing on the new layer.

If you choose to try for this, good luck!
