Question / Help Is OBS local-recorded footage worth handbraking?

Hello, I local record 1080p 30fps and upload to youtube, I average 10-14GB's per 2 hour (Aprox) video files. After recording I put them into Handbrake and turn them into 7 - 9GB files and lose a fair bit of quality. I know obs compresses the footage already so Im wondering if Its a stupid idea putting them into Handbrake. With my 2megabytes/second upload Im not worried about upload times.
 
YouTube is going to recompress it on their end anyway; I'd probably stick as close to source as possible, and just eat the extra time to upload the OBS output.
