Question / Help Is my computer good enough for 1080p 30fps

I want to be able to record my games on my computer at 1080p at 30fps. No streaming.

Well 1080p u can record without any problem! Can u record? Yes u should be able too. It all depends on what kind of games are you looking to record. But GPU,CPU shouldn't be a problem, ram might be. But it should all be good :D

In the recording, it seems to be stopping at random spots then continues to record normally.

Take a look on either the OBS window and see if it says that it's dropping frames or having trouble keeping up with encoding when it's doing that. And upload your log maybe there are some hints for us: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/please-post-a-log-with-your-issue-heres-how.23074/

Definitely post a logfile. And make sure you followed ALL of the steps in the HQ local recording guide, linked above. If you skipped one or left one off, it can cause stuff to break and not record properly.
