Question / Help IP Camera into OBS

Hello everyone,

I will try to go through my issue quickly. first of almost, I am trying to stream a room that I am using among with my friends which has 5 PCs PS4/Xbox connected to a TV. After I have look around the internet, it seemed to me that the only way to do this is by having a security IP camera, connected to the router and upload the data (which would be another issue to deal with) and then I would play the video from the given website into OBS.

Excuse me if am doing it wrong but to me thats what seemed to be the only option. So my question is, Is there another way to do this beside this whole procedure? I know some people would advice me to use DVR, but honestly that's the last thing I'd wanna buy just for a single camera that I would be using.
So please advice me if there's any other device I could use beside an IP camera, or a simpler way to retrieve data from the IP camera into OBS as realtime stream without having to upload data online and retrieve from their for playback.

Thanks in advance.

The video source plugin should support most standard IP cameras.
Ok thanks, ill give that a try. One question though, is there a way to do this without having to upload the camera's data to the internet? like stream it directly to my PC instead?

Yes, just connect to it over your LAN with HTTP or RTSP or whatever it provides.
