Question / Help Intermittent black screen on Twitch playback

Hello.

I'm noticing when I watch my past broadcasts that roughly every 30 minutes or so, the screen goes black for maybe 2 or 3 seconds then plays normally again. When this happens, the timer on the video skips or jumps ahead as well.

I've only been streaming Borderlands 1 so cannot compare it with other games.

The system is:
i5 3570k stock settings
AMD Radeon HD 7970
8gb RAM

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
OBS v0.637b 64 bit

I didn't notice any dropped frames or high cpu usage warnings in OBS for this test.

Any ideas?

Twitch past broadcasts are saved and cataloged every 30 mins. When you watch a past broadcast you are loading 30 min videos in increments. The few seconds when it switches between videos is your black screen or jumping.

Yep, that is the most likely scenario. To test for sure, save a copy of your broadcast to your local hard drive while you are streaming. You can do this in settings>broadcast settings and checking "Automatically save stream to file" and then choose a filepath and filename.
