Question / Help IntelHD QuickSync - how much RAM should be reserved for the iGPU?

Hey guys,

Just wondering how much system RAM should be reserved in BIOS for my IntelHD 4000 when using for realtime recording of video to a HDD.

I'm planning on recording at 30-60fps, 1080p in H.264 using the OBS Quicksync integration.

CPU: Intel i5-3570k
OS: Win7 x64
RAM: 8GB
GPU1: IntelHD 4000
GPU2: Radeon HD 7770

I was actually wondering the same thing since I have enabled QuickSync. Any suggestions?

I have a i5-3570k as well, and I simply left the memory size in BIOS on "Auto". It works with 30 or 60 fps recording at 1920x1200.

I have it at Auto as well.
